Mindful Teaching: Workplace, Classroom & Everyday Life
Biana Kovic | Saturday, June 18 | 1:00pm - 2:30pm
We teach each other every day, in every interaction, any setting or meeting space. It can be in the formal setting of a classroom or workspace, or in a casual one when we do not always know the person we interact with.
We set examples by our choice of words and through our actions.
In this workshop, you will learn to become more reflective and deliberate in your teaching and coaching. You will learn how to communicate not only using your skills, but also your heart; how to use communication helpers vs. blockers; and how to utilize strength based assessment for more effective teaching/coaching. Participants will be introduced to NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming)techniques such as story telling and anchoring that lead to better guidance and retention of the knowledge.
